Common Questions

Commercial Rooftop Units FAQs

How often should commercial RTUs be serviced?

We recommend quarterly filter changes and semi-annual preventive maintenance (spring and fall). Regular maintenance extends RTU life by 5–10 years and catches refrigerant leaks, belt wear, and electrical issues before they cause downtime.

What's involved in a rooftop unit replacement?

We disconnect and crane-remove the old unit, inspect and modify the roof curb if needed (or fabricate an adapter), crane-set the new unit, connect ductwork/electrical/gas, charge refrigerant, and commission the system. Most single-unit replacements are completed in 1–2 days.
